Muscle Strain
A muscle strain in the arm occurs when a muscle or the tendons connecting it to bone are overstretched or torn. This can happen due to sudden or excessive force, improper lifting, or overuse from repetitive activities. Muscle strains in the arm are common in athletes, individuals who perform manual labor, or anyone engaged in physical activities without proper warm-up or technique. Strains can affect any muscle in the arm, including the biceps, triceps, or forearm muscles, and vary in severity from mild (overstretching) to severe (complete tear).
A muscle strain often results in immediate pain, weakness, and difficulty using the affected arm. Treatment typically focuses on rest, ice, compression, and elevation (RICE), along with physical therapy or medical intervention for more serious strains.
Common Symptoms

Sudden, sharp pain in the arm during activity
-
Muscle soreness or tenderness in the affected area

-

-
Pain that worsens with movement or when stretching the affected muscle
